After the strengthening of sanctions against Russia in 2022, there were about 5 thousand Jatco automatic transmissions in warehouses, which began to be installed on LADA Granta sedans. Now AvtoVAZ told "Yuzhny Avtomobil" about what will replace the automatic transmission when they run out.
We still have some automatic transmissions in stock for Lada Granta. They will run out by the end of the year. In the future, a CVT will appear on the Lada Granta, but not earlier than 2026.
According to him, the continuously variable transmission will be supplied by the same company that ships CVTs for LADA Vesta. However, the CVTs for LADA Granta and LADA Vesta will be different. It is known that LADA Vesta is equipped with a CVT18 CVT from the Chinese company WanLiYang.
