India has become the second largest supplier of critical technologies to Russia, after China, which can be used in the defense sector. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing unnamed officials in the US and Europe.
According to officials, Indian exports of microchips, circuits and machine tools exceeded $60 million in April and May. Only China surpasses India in this indicator.
According to Bloomberg, almost a fifth of the critical technologies entering the Russian military-industrial complex come from India.
In July, US Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo addressed the Confederation of Indian Industry, warning of the risks of secondary sanctions for helping Russia. The Indian Foreign Ministry declined to comment on this information.
