Russia is facing significant obstacles in the production of the latest Su-57 fighter. These problems are exacerbated by Western sanctions, which have affected access to critical electronic components, including German MPPU-50 communication modules. This is according to The Telegraph.
The acquisition of electronic components is done through intermediaries and illegal channels. This not only increases costs, but also introduces uncertainty into supply schedules, complicating strategic production planning of aviation equipment.
Sources at The Telegraph claim that Western sanctions could put serious pressure on the Russian aviation industry. At the same time, Moscow is announcing an increase in the production of the Su-57.
Russia is actively working on replacing foreign technologies with domestic developments. Despite great efforts, progress is very slow.
