Mobile operator MTS began to notify its subscribers about possible problems with access to YouTube video hosting. When contacting the hotline, customers hear a message from a robot warning of potential failures caused by factors beyond the operator's control.
The press services of Beeline and MegaFon, in turn, report that problems with YouTube may be related to technical malfunctions of the video hosting itself, and not to their network infrastructure.
According to Beeline's technical support, problems with YouTube may be caused by outdated video hosting equipment in Russia, and not by technical malfunctions of operators.
MegaFon stated that their equipment is functioning normally and no changes in the availability of video content have been recorded.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostelecom warned about problems with YouTube in Russia. Technical problems were found in the operation of Google Global Cache equipment. It is designed to speed up the loading and storage of information from Google services. Since 2022, the American corporation has not updated equipment in Russia, which may be the cause of the current problems.
