Российский космос станет частным: «Роскосмос» получил право работать с инвесторами

President Vladimir Putin signed a law on public-private partnerships in space

The law will help develop the Russian orbital constellation of spacecraft and ground-based space infrastructure. The document came into force from the moment of publication.

The document signed by the president grants Roscosmos the right to act as a concession grantor or public partner in public-private partnership agreements. The objects of such agreements can be both ground-based immovable space infrastructure and technologically related space objects, including spacecraft. Whether investors in Russian space will be granted tax incentives is still unclear.

Earlier it became known that Roscosmos will be allowed to issue its own bonds for the development of the space industry. The bill, which will allow the state corporation to issue its bonds, is already in the State Duma, and has been supported by the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank.
