«Причал пассажирский»: в Санкт-Петербурге появится ещё одна зарядка для электросудов

City authorities intend to complete the improvement of accessible access points to the water within 3-4 years

St. Petersburg is developing electric vessels: in addition to the two existing charging stations for them at the city's piers "Peter and Paul Fortress – Mytninskaya Embankment" and "River Station"), a third one will be added. The Agency for External Transport will install it at the "Passenger Pier" on the Southern Road by the end of 2024.

According to the official publication of the St. Petersburg government, "Petersburg Diary", there are currently 76 piers in the city, 19 of which are public city piers. Eleven of the public city piers are "smart": they are equipped with solar panels, video surveillance and alarm systems, and control the approach of ships and the passage of passengers.

The city's Agency for External Transport not only takes care of equipping existing piers, but also builds new ones. The "Faberge Museum" pier on the Fontanka embankment will open by the end of July, and work is underway to open the "Summer Pier" and "Winter Pier" in Kronstadt on the Gulf of Finland. In 2025, the "St. Isaac's Square" pier will open. It is not yet specified whether they will have charging stations for electric vessels.

The city authorities intend to complete the full improvement of accessible access points to the water, including the replacement of pier infrastructure and landscaping, within 3-4 years.
