According to the regional administration, the production of new types of quartz oscillators by the "Meteor" plant became possible thanks to a project launched in 2021. Its investment phase has now been completed. Potential customers include manufacturers of computer equipment, GLONASS equipment, equipment for mobile communication devices, radio stations, and other products.
As the regional publication "MTV.online" notes, the key advantage of the new quartz oscillators will be a wider range of nominal frequencies compared to imported counterparts. The Volgograd developers are working on three types of oscillators used in mobile communications, computers, and unmanned vehicles.
For the serial production of new products, the company is re-equipping and purchasing new equipment, and switching to domestic components. The localization of future production is planned to be completed soon, in 2025.
