The company "Quintessence" demonstrated the operation of the "Yaz-5" unmanned tiltrotor aircraft. This was reported by the company's press service.
The drone is designed for reconnaissance, cargo transportation, and agriculture.
Declared characteristics of "Yaz-5":
- Maximum take-off weight — 20 kg.
- Payload weight — 5 kg.
- Maximum flight time — 70 minutes.
- Wingspan — 2.8 meters.
- Flight speed range — 50-90 km/h.
- Cruising (optimal) speed — 60 km/h.
"Yaz-5" will allow transporting specific equipment for reconnaissance on a cable. This is necessary when magnetic interference from the aircraft itself is critical.
The developers increased the volume of the cargo compartment due to the absence of a fifth motor. The tiltrotor does not have strict requirements for centering and weight distribution of the cargo, it is more stable than five-motor drones.
The drone is economical in electricity consumption due to the use of rotary motors. The declared cost of the tiltrotor is 1.1 million rubles.
