Since 2022, instructors from the UAV operator schools of the "Archangel" project have trained more than 1,000 Russian military personnel to operate reconnaissance and strike FPV drones (equipped with a camera that transmits images in real time).
According to an instructor with the call sign Maloy, an experienced pilot of a strike FPV drone independently decides on engaging enemy targets. It all depends on the situation, he added.
If there is a choice between a mortar or a tank approaching positions, it is better to hit the tank, that is, moving targets.
The training course lasts 3 weeks. During this time, a soldier can master the skills of using FPV drones from scratch.
