The Rostec State Corporation has announced the launch of mass production of new premium IGLA Premium cartridges. The shot range in the new cartridges includes sizes 00, 1, 3, 5, 7, and buckshot. The ammunition has been improved in several characteristics.
According to the manufacturers, IGLA Premium has more advanced safety features: the maximum energy value that does not cause unauthorized triggering has been increased by at least 1.5 times compared to analogues.
IGLA Premium cartridges use the KV-23 primer, which surpasses domestic and foreign analogues in ignition power, so it can replace imported samples such as the CX2000 primer. In the new cartridge, the powder burns more completely during firing, which improves the stability of internal ballistic parameters and increases the cleanliness of the barrel. The shot velocity in IGLA Premium is more than 400 m/s, the firing range is 50 m, the average firing accuracy and spread is at least 70%, and the high-hardness shot provides good sharpness of the shot.
IGLA is a brand of 12-gauge cartridges consisting entirely of domestic components, developed by the Research Institute of Applied Chemistry (NIIPH) of Rostec State Corporation in response to international sanctions. Over the year, the following products have appeared in the line as part of the replacement of foreign products:
- IGLA Champion — sporting cartridges for all disciplines of clay shooting;
- IGLA Optimum — hunting shot cartridges and buckshot cartridges;
- IGLA Bior — non-container cartridges;
- IGLA Vector — hunting cartridges with a light element for visualizing the flight of the shot projectile.
Now IGLA Premium has been added to this family.
