Russian and Chinese engineers have developed miniature butterfly drones. The novelty was shown to Russian President Vladimir Putin as part of the VIII Russian-Chinese Expo, which started on May 17 at the Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center in Harbin. The Expo will last until May 21.
Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in China yesterday on a special visit. Today, May 17, he specifically went to Harbin to open the Expo.
The MSU-PPI University is a project of the Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Beijing Polytechnic Institute. This is the first joint university of Russia and China.
One of such joint developments of scientists, which was shown to the president, was a butterfly drone. Its blades open in the air according to the principle of operation of the knife of the same name, so it just needs to be tossed. The developers note that in the future, such a drone may be useful for monitoring the flow of people or the environment.
The drone's rotor blades are hidden inside the body and are laid out after being tossed. Such devices are easy enough to launch, they are lightweight.
Earlier www1.ru reported that "Roselectronics" at the EXPO in Harbin showed samples of Angara routers and network adapters based on ultra-large integrated circuits of domestic design. Also, the Rostec State Corporation brought a new GTD-110M superturbine, medical equipment and vaccines to China.
