The TV7-117ST-01 aircraft engine (part of the TV7-117 family) for the Il-114-300 passenger aircraft, developed by specialists from JSC "ODK-Klimov", was tested in a hypobaric chamber for two years. Following the comprehensive check, the unit proved its reliability and safety, ODK reported.
The corporation's press service noted that the engine spent almost 120 hours in the air as part of the Il-76LL flying laboratory. As part of the tests, the TV7-117ST-01 was installed on the second prototype of the Il-114-300, and the aircraft made a successful flight.
According to the general designer of JSC "ODK-Klimov", Vsevolod Eliseev, the TV7-117ST-01 has received a number of updates. Engineers at the enterprise have made it more powerful, reliable and fire-resistant.
During the flight, the Il-114-300 power plant demonstrated high traction characteristics and reduced noise levels
The TV7-117ST-01 engine for the Il-114-300 aircraft was assembled from more than 8,000 parts. Engineers checked the geometry of each element. Its design used components created using additive technologies (3D printing).

- self-diagnosis equipment
- the presence of a digital twin (allows for computational studies to optimize engine design)
ODK CEO Vadim Badeha stated earlier that engineers had done a great job modernizing the TV7-117 engine line.
ODK is increasing production capacity and we are ready to begin serial deliveries of the TV7-117ST-01
According to him, the development of JSC "ODK-Klimov" will help provide engines for the Russian aviation industry and move closer to technological independence.
