Один из поcледних российских спутников «Ресурс-П» готовят к запуску с Байконура

The launch is scheduled for this Sunday, March 31

The Soyuz-2.1b rocket with the new Earth remote sensing satellite "Resurs-P" No. 4 has been delivered and installed at the launch site of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

As expected, after installing the rocket in a vertical position, Roscosmos specialists continued to prepare it for launch. The launch from the cosmodrome is scheduled for March 31 at 12:36:45 Moscow time.

"Resurs-P" is a Russian group of Earth remote sensing satellites. The first of these satellites was launched into orbit back in 2013. "Resurs-P" explores natural resources, monitors environmental pollution, helps in the search for mineral deposits and assesses the state of the ice situation, monitors emergencies and helps cartographers.

The "Resurs-P" No. 4 satellite, which is being prepared for launch, is notable for being the penultimate in its series. In 2025, instead of "Resurs-P", more advanced versions will begin to be launched into space: the "Resurs-PM" satellites. They have received a number of new options — for example, the ability to detect launches and flights of rockets, work as a telescope, and receive higher resolution images.
