The "Valdai 45" tractor from "Nizhny Novgorod Trucks", assembled at the GAZ site, has appeared on the Russian market. Experts compare it to KamAZ, but the cost of the "Valdai 45" is 9.6 million rubles, while the K5 tractor costs 10.5 million rubles.
The new tractor is based on the Chinese Foton EST1846. Under the hood of the "Valdai 45" is a Cummins ISG12 turbodiesel engine that can produce 470 hp. Drivers will surely appreciate the convenience of the ZF TraXon automatic transmission and the Mercedes-Benz Actros-like cab, inside which you can stand up straight. The "Valdai 45" has a pneumatic rear suspension and disc brakes.
Currently, "Nizhny Novgorod Trucks" is engaged in large-unit assembly, but plans to switch to a full cycle, replacing foreign parts with domestic ones.
It was previously reported that KamAZ plans to increase production of K5 generation trucks threefold in 2024, to 15 thousand.
