Russian car enthusiasts are waiting for the AvtoVAZ concern to master its own production of continuously variable transmissions. But private companies have already begun to provide services for converting gearboxes. For example, the Ural "AKPP-EKB" installs classic Japanese automatic transmissions on Lada Granta.
We are talking about the Aisin transmission manufactured by the machine-building company Aisin Seiki Co Ltd. Its products are installed on cars of European and Asian brands, including Audi, BMW, Changan, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan.
Specialists installed a new automatic transmission on the Lada Granta with a UAZ 1.6 2023 engine. Along with a convenient lever, the car has a new, wider brake pedal. The cost of upgrading the transmission is 125 thousand rubles, the work takes no more than 5 days.
It was previously reported that Lada Granta Sport received a new VAZ-21127-95 engine with a volume of 1.6 liters and a power of 118 hp. The car can be refueled with AI-95.
