The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that the Moskvich automobile plant has been included in the special investment contract of its technology partner, KamAZ. This will allow the implementation of a phased localization plan, and the plant's products — gasoline and electric vehicles — to participate in the state support program.
As an example, the electric "Moskvich 3e" is taken: it can be purchased under a preferential leasing program with a discount of 10% to 25%, or purchased with a discount of up to 25% (but not more than 625 thousand rubles) with the involvement of a car loan.
It is noted that from 2024, Moskvich will establish welding and painting processes for car bodies currently assembled from vehicle kits, and from 2026, the company will begin producing electric vehicles using key Russian components – an electric motor and a traction battery.
