The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that the car plant "Moskvich" has been included in a special investment contract for their technology partner - KAMAZ. This will allow the implementation of a phased localization plan, and plant products - gasoline and electric cars - to participate in government support programs.
As an example, the electric "Moskvich 3e" is taken: it can be bought under a preferential leasing program with a discount ranging from 10% to 25% or purchased with a discount of up to 25% (but no more than 625 thousand rubles) with a car loan involved.
It is noted that from 2024, welding and painting processes will be established at the "Moskvich" for cars now being assembled from car sets, and from 2026 the company will start producing electric vehicles using key Russian components - an electric motor and a traction battery.
