Rostec Creates Compact Ventilator for Home Use

The weight of AIVL-D is only 4 kg

The Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant named after E.S. Yalamov (UOMZ, part of Shvabe of Rostec) has created a portable ventilator – AIVL-D, which is suitable for use not only in a medical institution, but, for example, during transportation or at home.

The device is characterized by its light weight (only 4 kg) and silent operation, and can operate for up to three hours in автономном режиме due to the integrated battery. The device parameters are flexibly adjusted for respiratory support for both adults and children. The functionality of the device is expanded by a blood oxygen saturation sensor (pulse oximeter) and a body temperature sensor.

«We are in constant contact with the main customers of high-tech medical products – doctors, heads of clinics and non-profit organizations, including those providing palliative care to "severe" patients. The demand for devices to support the body's vital functions outside medical institutions – at home, during a walk, during transportation – is extremely relevant today. AIVL-D is a modern, compact and lightweight device developed and manufactured in Russia. It is easy to use and provides significant freedom to the patient in need of respiratory support. We expect to complete testing of the device and obtain registration from Roszdravnadzor in 2024», – said Oleg Evtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec.
