The "Vysokotochnye Kompleksy" holding (part of Rostec) has for the first time supplied the Russian Ministry of Defense with the latest "Zubr" systems, designed to protect infrastructure facilities from drones. The complex's radar stations detect both large and small aerial targets, the state corporation noted.
"Zubr" ensures the detection of aerial targets, including small drones and loitering munitions, at any time of the day. The system independently detects a drone and acquires it for automatic tracking.
The operator only has to make a decision and give the command to engage. During testing, the complex demonstrated high efficiency in combating small and high-speed targets.
The complex is equipped with four modules, a control point, and its own radar station with a detection range of up to 1.5 km. The "Zubr" systems have already taken up duty and are providing protection for infrastructure facilities.
The complex's fire weapons are represented by PKTM machine guns (Kalashnikov tank modernized machine gun) and GShG-7.62.
