The Russian messenger Max (owned by VK) has entered the top five fastest-growing Internet services in the world. This was announced by Sergey Kiriyenko, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, on the sidelines of the IX All-Russian MFC Forum.
Today there are already 89 million users, I think that by the weekend there will be 90 million and 60 million using it every day.
The instant messaging service appeared in 2025. The messenger incorporates functions for receiving codes to confirm login to the "Gosuslugi" portal, identity verification and digital ID.
Many departments, large media outlets and bloggers have already created their own channels in Max. The growth of the messenger's audience is also associated with its mandatory pre-installation on mobile devices and the unstable operation of foreign services.
