Motivating with Rubles: Drone Operators Promised Bonuses for Service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard

Senator Kozhin: We Need to Financially Encourage Soldiers for Implementing Innovative Proposals

Introducing a bonus for drone operators at 30% of their salary will attract new personnel to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard. This opinion was expressed by Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation, Vladimir Kozhin.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation previously published a draft decree outlining the special conditions for employees of internal affairs bodies and the National Guard Troops (Rosgvardia). It concerns monthly allowances. The department proposed paying up to 30% of the official salary for service "using unmanned aerial vehicles."

The Federation Council Supports the Initiative

Kozhin stated that the development of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) is crucial for Russia. Unmanned technology is in demand and effective for solving defense and security tasks of the country, he emphasized.

To stimulate this direction, attract more people to it, and build a comprehensive system for their training and preparation, we need new measures of social support.
Vladimir Kozhin, Senator

The senator recalled that in Soviet times, factories had a system of material incentives for the implementation of innovative proposals (a solution that improves the design, technology, products, or work processes — note www1.ru). This practice needs to be revived and good ideas from specialists "on the ground" should be supported, Kozhin concluded.
