The new joint Russian-Belarusian LMS-192 “Osvay” aircraft will require a new injection of funds. The full project cost assessment will be completed within the next two weeks, said Anton Alikhanov, head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
According to him, the Belarusian side plans to maintain parity in financing.
Additional funding will most likely be required. Colleagues from the Treasury are currently evaluating all documents. Given that this is an intergovernmental project, it is important to check and review everything very carefully. I think that within the next two weeks we will complete this work.
Apparently, the “Osvay” has not even passed the stage of drafting experimental design documentation at UZGA. The transition to the creation of the “Osvay” is possible only after the completion of this stage.
State Secretary of the Union State Sergey Glazyev predicted that work on the creation of the “Osvay” would be completed within the next two years. He admitted that he did not understand the reason for the delay, as everything necessary for production is already available.
