The Ulyanovsk aircraft plant "Aviastar" has opened a vacancy for a 6th grade fitter. Information about this appeared on one of the job search services.

The job responsibilities include major overhaul of equipment, installation, adjustment, and diagnostics of devices before starting work.

"Aviastar" offers applicants voluntary medical insurance and an extended social package, as well as a "high level of payment" – 65 thousand rubles per month.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Ulyanovsk region, as of January 2026, the average salary in the region was 71.3 thousand rubles.

It should be noted that a 6th grade fitter is the elite of the profession. Such a specialist can completely reassemble and adjust a multi-spindle automatic lathe or the hydraulics of a huge press.

By the end of 2027, the Ulyanovsk enterprise expects to build 12 Il-76MD-90A military transport aircraft, and then increase the pace to 18 machines. For comparison: in 2025, the plant built seven airliners.
