Production of Il-76MD-90A transport aircraft to increase 2.5 times

"Aviastar" plans to produce up to 18 aircraft per year

By the end of 2027, the Ulyanovsk enterprise "Aviastar" expects to build 12 Il-76MD-90A military transport aircraft, and then increase the pace to 18 machines. This was reported by the publication "Novye Vedomosti".

For comparison, in 2025, the plant built seven aircraft. The number of Aviastar personnel should soon reach 20 thousand people.

The training of qualified aircraft manufacturing specialists was organized on the basis of regional educational institutions under targeted training and professional retraining programs.

Also, "Aviastar" will start producing new Il-100 and Il-276 aircraft. Oleg Panteleev, Executive Director of the "Aviaport" agency, stated to "Pervy Tekhnichesky" that the Il-276 could be in demand on the international market.

Aviation expert Roman Gusarov explained to "Pervy Tekhnichesky" that the Il-100 "Slon" acts as a potential replacement for the An-124.
