Increasing the volume of serial assembly of heavy transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A for the benefit of the Russian Ministry of Defense at the branch of PJSC "Il" — Aviastar is impossible without new production facilities and highly qualified personnel. Specialists are also needed to work within the framework of cooperation on passenger aircraft MC-21, Il-114-300, the UAC press service reported.
The plant will need 2,500 new employees in the next three years. The most sought-after specialists are lathe operators, milling machine operators, CNC machine operators, and production site foremen.
How the personnel shortage problem is being solved
The Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region, Alexey Russkikh, noted the importance of social security for hiring new specialists. It is expected that from April 1, 2024, Aviastar will index wages by 7.5%. A corporate housing program is in place for employees of the enterprise.

- Improvement of medical services
- Assistance in children's education
In addition to specific social measures, the authorities of the Ulyanovsk Region are helping Aviastar with personnel training. They are creating engineering classes in aircraft construction in gymnasiums and schools, and are also developing this area in college.
Earlier it was reported that in 2023 UAC assembled only 6 Il-76MD-90A aircraft, and it is necessary to reach a volume of 18 aircraft per year.
