The PD-8 aircraft engine has already passed tests that could expand its operating conditions, but the corresponding results have not yet been included in the certification documents. Aviation expert Roman Gusarov told "Pervy Tekhnichesky" about this.

This refers to the operation of the SJ-100 aircraft in low-temperature conditions. The actual capabilities of the PD-8 turned out to be even broader than the initial parameters of the certificate.

So, it has actually already passed this test cycle, it's just not yet formally documented and confirmed.
Roman Gusarov, aviation expert

Gusarov explained that during initial certification, confirmed and guaranteed parameters are recorded in the documents. After additional tests, these can be expanded.

According to the PD-8 technical table on the Rostec website, the PD-8 is declared as an aggregate with an operating range at ambient temperatures from -55 °C to +50 °C.
