The third flight prototype of the Tango training aircraft, PT.006, has taken to the skies for the first time. The flight was performed by a test pilot from SibNIA named after S. A. Chaplygin. The new aircraft has joined two other aircraft already participating in the flight program.

PT.006 differs from previous test aircraft by having a variable pitch propeller (VPP). The new design will allow specialists to obtain additional data when checking the aircraft's flight characteristics and to investigate various operating modes.

Now, three aircraft are involved in the Tango flight test program – PT.003, PT.005, and PT.006. Increasing the number of flight prototypes allows for parallel testing and expands the volume of data obtained.

The Tango project is being developed by Spectra Aircraft, a company within the S7 Group. It is a four-seat light training aircraft designed for initial pilot training, private flights, and aerial work. The aircraft's structure is made of composite materials.

Previously, PT.005 was connected to flight tests. This aircraft is equipped with a Russian APD-520 "Lider" piston engine with a power of 200 hp. In July, the aircraft flew for the first time with this engine, after which it continued its test program.
