Tango UAC test program accelerated twofold

Second aircraft began flight tests and took to the air

The second prototype Tango aircraft has officially begun its flight program. The addition of another aircraft will significantly increase the number of flights and accelerate the testing of the promising training aircraft. This was announced by Spectra Aircraft.

During the program, specialists will check the flight performance and take-off/landing characteristics of the aircraft, evaluate the ergonomics of the cockpit, and assess the aircraft's capabilities for cadet training.

Tango is a four-seat light-engine aircraft designed for initial flight training, private flights, and aviation work.

The aircraft received a fully composite fuselage, Russian-made components, an APD-520 "Lider" piston aircraft engine with an electronic control system, and an integrated onboard equipment complex developed by JSC "UPKB "Detal"".

The project is being developed in cooperation with units of the "M. E. Zhukovsky Institute" Research Center. The aircraft's design was formed taking into account the requirements of the Russian University of Transport (MIIT) with the participation of specialists from the Russian Ministry of Transport and Rosaviatsiya.

The appearance of the second prototype is expected to almost double the speed of Tango testing.
