At the "Uralskiye Lokomotivy" plant in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, the equipping of carriages for the first Russian high-speed train has begun. For the first two trains, 14 out of 16 bodies have already been welded. Nine of them have been transferred to the assembly stage, where thermal and sound insulation is being performed, cables are being laid, and cladding panels, windows, doors, and current collectors are being installed.

Side windows are glued into the aluminum body using a special technology: the adhesive joint firmly fixes the double-glazed window, reduces noise in the cabin, and dampens vibrations. This solution has already been used in the production of "Lastochka" and "Finist" trains, and then refined and adapted for the high-speed train.

The exterior doors are equipped with a reinforced sealing contour. It will ensure the airtightness of the carriage at speeds up to 400 km/h and when passing oncoming trains in tunnels, and the control system will prevent the train from moving if the door is not fully closed. The current collector for the train was developed with improved aerodynamics: it is lighter, less noisy, and designed for temperatures from –50 to +75 °C.

150 enterprises from all over the country are working on the train. The construction of Russia's first high-speed railway Moscow – St. Petersburg is being carried out within the framework of the national project "Effective Transport System".
