The authorities of Sverdlovsk Oblast are discussing with businesses the creation of an inter-industry cluster for civilian unmanned technologies. The initiative was considered at a meeting of the commission on public-private partnership with the participation of Deputy Governor Dmitry Ionin, relevant ministries, and development institutions.

Currently, several projects are already operating in the Middle Urals: "Movista-Yekaterinburg" is developing unmanned solutions for urban infrastructure, TK "KIT" is automating cargo transportation, the "NEXT" taxi fleet, together with "Yandex", is testing robotic delivery, and "New-link" is producing components for unmanned aerial systems. The "Universitetsky" technopark could become the platform for the cluster, with further expansion to the "Titanovaya Dolina" special economic zone.

The cluster should unite scientists, developers, electronics manufacturers, and end customers, forming a full cycle of unmanned system production in the Urals. A regulatory framework, special legal regimes, and support measures are being developed for investors. The goal is to reduce dependence on imported components and increase the competitiveness of domestic technologies. Attracting new residents and expanding cooperation with industrial enterprises in the region will be the next steps.
