Demand for the Lada Niva Legend with a new engine exceeded dealers' expectations. Alexander Shaprinsky, commercial director of the Pragmatika dealership network, told Rossiyskaya Gazeta about this.
According to him, there is currently no shortage of the updated model in dealerships. However, demand for the car turned out to be higher than expected, and buyers liked the SUV's updates. Shaprinsky noted that the new version of the Lada Niva Legend is now more in demand than the previous model variant.
Which trim levels are chosen
The most popular version was the pre-maximum "Urban" — it accounts for 30% of sales. "Drive" and the maximum "Black Series" each account for 25% of sales. The latter is chosen by those who value the car's appearance. The entry-level "Classic" interests every fifth buyer.
What's new
AVTOVAZ announced the start of sales of the updated Lada Niva Legend at the end of August. The model is available in four versions: "Classic," "Drive," "Urban," and "Black Series." The basic trim level starts from 1,199,000 rubles.
The Niva received a 1.8-liter 8-valve engine, which was previously installed on the Niva Travel. This power unit features increased traction: maximum torque has increased by 24 Nm, with 80% available from 1000 rpm.
