PSB has become a major shareholder in the manufacturer of the Russian electric car "Atom". The bank acquired 16.98% of JSC "Kama" for almost 10 billion rubles and called the investment strategic for the development of electromobility in the country.

This is not PSB's first major investment in the project. Back in 2025, the bank, together with VEB.RF, agreed to finance the launch of serial production of "Atom" with 24 billion rubles, and later the first tranche of 14 billion was allocated.

Now the bank is directly entering the company's capital. PSB expects that the participation of KAMAZ, Rosatom, and the Kama team will allow the project to reach the required financial indicators, and the next big stage could be an IPO.

Atom itself is developed on a Russian platform for electric vehicles, and the first cars have already begun to be delivered to customers. Thus, the project is gradually moving from years of development and attracting billions in investments to a full-fledged commercial launch.

It is also interesting that PSB is simultaneously developing a completely different technological direction - cross-border payments. The bank participated in the creation of the A7 platform, with whose ecosystem the ruble stablecoin A7A5 is associated. Now, in addition to financial and digital infrastructure, there is also direct participation in the production of a Russian electric car.
