Kazan's aviation industry has attracted the attention of Chinese partners. A delegation from Shuangliu District, Chengdu City, visited enterprises in the capital of Tatarstan, including the Kazan Aircraft Plant, where Tu-160 strategic bombers and Tu-214 passenger aircraft are manufactured.

During the visit, representatives of the Shuangliu People's Government familiarized themselves with Kazan's industrial capabilities. The Chinese guests were also shown the operations of the Kazan Helicopter Plant, the Elekon plant, and Kazan Giproniiaviaprom.

Following the meeting, Kazan and Shuangliu signed a memorandum of friendship and cooperation. The parties agreed to develop cooperation in industry, science, education, and other areas.

The Chinese publication Sohu stated that it would take China 20 years to copy the Tu-160M long-range bomber. The problem lies in the high complexity of individual components of the combat aircraft.
