The Russian manufacturer of electronic component base faced an unexpected obstacle in production development. The semiconductor device plant in Yoshkar-Ola, part of the Element group, failed to secure the release of an adjacent plot of land through court, which the company associated with expanding its capacities.

The Arbitration Court of Mari El denied the enterprise's request to declare the Tatneft gas station's operator building an unauthorized construction and to vacate the territory. The decision can still be appealed.

The dispute arose over a plot of land near the plant. Earlier, Element announced plans to build a new facility for the production of metal-ceramic packages for microelectronics. The project was intended to increase production to tens of millions of units per year.

Metal-ceramic packages are used to protect and house complex electronic components used in industrial equipment, telecommunications, radio engineering systems, and other high-tech fields.

In 2024, it was reported that about 10 billion rubles were planned to be allocated for the development of the site. The new facility was to become part of the expansion of Russian electronic component base production.

Element stated that the legal dispute is not related to the project's implementation and intends to appeal the court's decision.
