Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the proposal to use funds from the National Wealth Fund of Russia (NWF) for the production of eight Il-114-300 aircraft. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov.
According to him, money from the NWF will be directed to leasing companies to provide preferential leasing for the construction of the Il-114-300.
During a meeting with the president, and then separately, I reported our proposals for co-financing the production program for the Il-114 aircraft. It has been approved, and the president has signed an instruction for recapitalization from the National Wealth Fund. For now, this is for eight aircraft.
The Il-114-300 has already received a type certificate and can be mass-produced. However, some airlines have raised questions about its efficiency on unpaved runways due to the excessively low placement of the TV7-117ST-01 turboprop engines.
GTLK also stated that at least 40 Il-114-300s will be supplied to Aurora, KrasAvia, and IrAero airlines.
