The new regional aircraft Il-114-300 will begin testing on unpaved runways in the autumn. However, some pilots of KhabAvia airline doubted the effectiveness of the liner on this surface, the carrier's press service reported.
The whole problem lies in the low position of the TV7-117ST-01 turboprop engines.
In domestic aviation, people are accustomed to the high-wing model of the An-24/26 and some other aircraft of the An family. Well, the final result of these tests will be all the more interesting.
Among other Russian developments, the Il-114-300 is the only aircraft closest to obtaining certification in 2026.
Currently, aircraft manufacturers have a funded order for three Il-114-300s for the 2nd Arkhangelsk United Aviation Detachment.
