Exercises were held in Kamchatka to deploy a mobile control point for the Governor of the region. The training took place on July 2 at the regional reserve storage base on the 15th kilometer of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky – Elizovo highway.

The mobile control point is one of the key elements of rapid response in emergency situations. It is deployed on the basis of the highly-passable KamAZ-43118 directly in the emergency area to ensure the work of the governor and the operational group. Through the mobile headquarters, commands are given to eliminate man-made accidents and the consequences of natural disasters. 

The KamAZ-43118 model was developed by order of the military and the Ministry of Emergency Situations with increased requirements for cross-country capability and unpretentiousness. Ground clearance is 385 mm, adjustable tire pressure allows confident movement off-road and in the mountains. The vehicle is autonomous, operates at temperatures down to –40 °C and provides communication for hundreds of kilometers.
