The first production GTD-110M superturbine will receive a split casing

The 118 MW power unit has operated for over 12 thousand hours at the TPP

The first production GTD-110M high-power turbine has accumulated about 12 thousand equivalent hours over 1.5 years as part of a TPP in southern Russia. ODK specialists continue to work on improving the engine's characteristics, the state corporation's press service announced.

ODK intends to reduce the repair time for the GTD-110M. Currently, design documentation for split casings is being issued.

Such an engine design will provide access to the compressor and turbine rotor for replacing components during operation.

ODK-Saturn continues to work on increasing the resource, improving its operational characteristics and environmental parameters. This will reduce maintenance costs over the life cycle of the GTD-110M turbine.
Oleg Rusnak, General Director of ODK-Turbiny Bolshoy Moshchnosti

Compared to foreign counterparts, the GTD-110M is distinguished by high fuel efficiency — its efficiency exceeds 36%, which puts it on par with the best global gas turbine engines.
