The portable artificial lung ventilation device "Mobivent Arm-T", designed for patient transportation, has been presented in Russia. The development was demonstrated by Rostec, and its manufacturer is the Ural Instrument-Making Plant, part of KRET.
The new device supports the main modes of artificial lung ventilation for adults and children. The device is designed for use in conditions requiring continuous respiratory support during the transportation of patients between medical facilities or to the place of specialized care.
During development, special attention was paid to the equipment's resistance to loads characteristic of air ambulance. The device is capable of maintaining stable operation during vibrations, load changes, and turbulence occurring during flight.
According to the developers, "Mobivent Arm-T" can be used not only on board helicopters and air ambulance aircraft, but also in ambulances, as well as on other transport platforms used for medical evacuation, including submarines.
The development of compact ventilators is considered one of the key areas of modern emergency medicine. This equipment allows maintaining the condition of patients during the critical period of transportation, when even a short-term cessation of lung ventilation can significantly affect the outcome of treatment.
