Rostec showed the assembly process of Russia's first mass-produced high-power gas turbine, the GTD-110M, intended for generating electricity at thermal power plants. The turbine is being created using modern materials and advanced technologies, including 3D printing, which makes it possible to achieve compactness and reduced unit weight.
Compared with foreign counterparts, the GTD-110M features high fuel efficiency — its efficiency exceeds 36%, which puts it on a par with the world's best gas turbine engines. In the product line of the United Engine Corporation, this unit is considered a unique development.
The first production turbine began operating at the Udarnaya thermal power plant in Krasnodar Krai in the autumn of 2024 and has already generated nearly 3.5 million MWh of electricity. The second unit was delivered in September to the Novocherkasskaya GRES in Rostov Oblast.
