The corroded munition was transported to a safe zone for disposal

On the coast of the Azov Sea, a local resident discovered an 82-mm mortar mine from the Great Patriotic War during a walk. The munition was subsequently examined by explosive ordnance disposal experts and destroyed by Rosgvardiya officers using a shaped charge.

According to the regional directorate of Rosgvardiya, the object with pronounced signs of corrosion was found on the coastline of the Azov Sea near Golubitskaya stanitsa, Krasnodar Krai. Specialists from OMON "Plastun" determined that it was a munition from WWII, which, according to preliminary findings, was washed ashore by a sea wave.

After examining the dangerous find, explosive ordnance disposal experts decided to transport it to a safe zone. The mine was taken to a quarry, where it was destroyed by a controlled detonation using a shaped charge, observing all safety measures.
