"Smart Assistant" of Rosatom started working at Rooppur NPP power unit

The Russian operator support system was installed for the first time at a foreign station

An intelligent operator support system has been launched at the first power unit of the Rooppur NPP in Bangladesh, which helps personnel monitor the operation of the reactor facility and respond faster to parameter changes. The solution was implemented by specialists from Rosatom Automated Control Systems during commissioning work at the station.

The operator information support system, or SIPO, is integrated for the first time at a foreign nuclear power facility. The complex analyzes the operating parameters of the power unit in real time and helps personnel make decisions during the operation of the station.

Before this, the Novovoronezh NPP became the pilot site for the implementation of the technology. Later, the system was installed at the new power unit of Kursk NPP-2, which is considered the most powerful among new Russian nuclear power units.

Rosatom expects that the use of the digital assistant will increase the efficiency of the station and simplify the control of key technological processes at Bangladesh's first nuclear power plant.
