Rostec surprised the industry: asphalt rollers that operate almost without an operator

Developments demonstrate the transition to programmable operating modes for construction machinery

At the CTT Expo-2026 exhibition, the "Vysokotochnye Kompleksy" holding of the Rostec State Corporation showcased new road construction equipment, focusing on two rollers – the automated asphalt roller RV-11-DD-BP and the pneumatic-tired roller RC-12 SS. Both solutions were presented as part of the transition to more precise and partially autonomous control of construction processes.

The main novelty was the asphalt roller RV-11-DD-BP, developed for high-precision paving with automated operation capabilities. The machine uses a positioning and leveling system that allows it to maintain specified laying parameters with an accuracy of several centimeters. Control can be performed by an operator in the cabin, or in remote or programmable mode, including night work without constant human involvement.

Separately presented was the pneumatic-tired roller RC-12 SS, designed for universal road tasks. Its design is intended for stable compaction of various types of surfaces and operation under high load conditions. The developers note that the equipment is adapted for intensive use and can be used at different stages of road construction and repair.
