Information about the suspension of the "Ladoga" turboprop aircraft project is incorrect; no such decisions have been made at the current stage. This was stated by the press service of the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA).
Information about the suspension of the TVRS-44 "Ladoga" turboprop aircraft project is incorrect – no such decisions have been made at the current stage of development.
Currently, the possibility of changing the design of the "Ladoga" aircraft to a cargo version is being explored, UZGA noted. Work is underway on the aircraft to ensure its first flight.
Given the high degree of readiness of the Il-114 300 aircraft and the limited market volume for such machines, the possibility of changing the machine's design to a cargo version is currently being explored.
Earlier on May 21, the chief designer of transport aircraft at the enterprise, Sergey Merenkov, stated that the aircraft and all scientific and technical groundwork had been decided to be transferred to the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defense for the development of a ramp cargo version or one with a side door.
