The Smolensk Aviation Plant has launched the production of the wing box for the new TVRS-44 "Ladoga" turboprop aircraft. This was announced by the head of the region, Vasily Anokhin.
According to him, the company is ready to expand its production capabilities in the future.
I would especially like to mention projects for the diversification of defense enterprises. For example, the Smolensk Aviation Plant has started producing the wing box for the Ladoga aircraft. Our company is ready to assemble a full wing.
Flight prototypes of the TVRS-44 will be equipped with TV7-117ST-02 engines developed by ODK-Klimov (part of the United Engine Corporation of Rostec) - they will undergo certification tests as part of the Ladoga. In total, more than1000 flights are planned as part of flight tests.
The TVRS-44 "Ladoga" is a twin-engine aircraft designed to carry up to 44 passengers for regional flights between regional centers. The "Ladoga" is being created to replace the outdated fleet of Soviet Yak-40 and An-24/26. The first prototype will bebuilt by the end of 2025.
Earlierwww1.ru reported thatAn-124 "Ruslan" departed to Iran from the territory of the Su-30 and Yak-130 manufacturer.
