SJ-100 Certification May Be Delayed Until Year-End

Anton Alikhanov admitted that customers might receive the liners by the end of 2026

The Ministry of Industry and Trade maintains plans for SJ-100 certification in 2026, despite initial statements about August. This was announced by the head of the department, Anton Alikhanov.

According to him, four aircraft are currently participating in certification tests, and there are no serious issues with them.

We plan to complete certification in the near future and begin serial deliveries directly to customers this year.

In early April, at a presentation by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the certification dates for the SJ-100 were announced as August 2026.

Before that, in March, Rosaviatsia reported plans to certify the import-substituted SJ-100 liner in July.

The Ministry of Transport later noted that the PD-8 engine would also receive its type certificate in April, but as of early May, there was no news about this. Consequently, the deadlines have already "shifted to the right."
