"The new Russian short-haul airliner SJ-100 looks magnificent." This flattering assessment of the aircraft was given by certified Indian maintenance engineer for Brazilian Embraer aircraft, Max Aero Engines Private Limited employee Suvendu Kumar Dash.
The specialist became acquainted with the domestic airliner on the sidelines of the Wings India 2026 exhibition.
I am an engineer, we maintain Embraer products. So I inspect the aircraft, comparing it with others. Overall, the machine looks magnificent.
Another Max Aero Engines Private Limited employee, Saroj Nishank, also drew attention to an unusual indicator on the nose landing gear of the SJ-100.
The indicator [shows] when it is possible to tow and when it is not. This is something new.
Yakovlev engineer Ildar Mamleev explained that the indicator became another safety advantage. The classic "Superjets" did not have such a function; it appeared only in the SJ New version.
