Turboprop engine for Il-114-300 confirms reliable operation of more than 770 cycles

Rosaviatsiya issued approval for the resource of the main parts of the TV7-117ST-01

Rosaviatsiya has approved an increase in the assigned resource of the main parts of the TV7-117ST-01 turboprop engine to 777 cycles. The approval was obtained following the results of the program to confirm the reliability of the power plant as part of the engine and AV112-114 propeller for the Il-114-300 aircraft.

ODK noted that the resource indicator of 777 cycles reflects the permissible engine operating time under repeated flight loads and is formed as an integral assessment of the full operational profile.

In essence, this is an integral measure of the engine "wear". Increasing the resource means that the engine can work more of these cycles before the first overhaul, which directly affects the economy.

A cycle is understood as a complex indicator that takes into account the range of loads experienced by the engine during one flight — from takeoff mode with maximum loads to landing approach and taxiing along the runway.

Minister of Transport Andrey Nikitin stated that the Il-114-300 will complete certification in the coming months, but did not rule out that the process would be extended until the end of 2026. What exactly is the problem with the timing, the head of the department did not explain.

Earlier, Rosaviatsiya approved RA60 passenger seats for the Il-114-300. The tests confirmed that the model meets the current requirements.
