The new regional aircraft Il-114-300 is expected to receive its type certificate in the coming months, but the process may stretch until the end of 2026. This was reported by Russian Transport Minister Andrei Nikitin.
According to the ministry head, the aircraft is currently at a high degree of readiness.
Not all questions there have been resolved yet, but we expect that in the very coming months, in any case this year, we will be able to issue a certificate for this aircraft, and it will already be able to begin operating.
Analyst Vladimir Leonov pointed out that the announced delivery timelines for the Il-114-300 to airlines raise many questions. He explained the situation by an unstreamlined supply chain for parts and components.
According to the updated Comprehensive Civil Aviation Development Program through 2035, 93 Il-114-300 aircraft will be built in Russia. The CPGA version through 2030 listed 51 planned units.
The capacities of the P. A. Voronin aviation plant in Lukhovitsy make it possible to assemble one Il-114-300 aircraft per month.
