Sniper pairs (a tactical unit consisting of a shooter and a spotter) of the 201st Guards military base engaged targets at the "Lyaur" training ground in Tajikistan during live fire training. This was reported by the press service of the Central Military District (CMD).
The soldiers covertly advanced to the designated area. There, using special equipment, they camouflaged their firing positions. After reconnoitering the area with optical sights, the servicemen destroyed targets located at a distance of up to 1200 m.
The firing was conducted from SVD (Dragunov sniper rifle), SVD-M, SVD-K, and SV-98 rifles.
Snipers used 12.7 mm ASVK rifles to engage targets simulating lightly armored vehicles of a mock enemy. About 20 servicemen from the sniper rifle company participated in the training.
