Rostec has expanded its range of civilian ammunition and launched a 308 Win (7.62×51 mm) caliber cartridge called Match 160. The novelty is included in the IGLA family and is designed to replace products from foreign manufacturers who have left the Russian market. The ammunition is aimed at hunters and athletes who value stable shooting accuracy.
Engineers focused on two key characteristics. The first is increased accuracy: the cartridge shows stable results in sports shooting and hunting. The second is environmental friendliness: the bullet does not contain lead, which reduces health risks during regular training in enclosed shooting ranges, where lead dust can accumulate in the air.
The full production cycle is localized in Russia: the case, primer, powder charge and the bullet itself are manufactured at domestic enterprises from Russian materials.
At the same time, the company continues to develop specialized areas. Under the IGLA brand, cartridges with high-hardness shot are already being produced to protect against drones, as well as training versions that help Russian athletes prepare for international competitions.
